PhiClaw just closed its first angel round, added a Chief Medical Officer who used the product in his own practice first, and launched a $5,000 plan that puts a fully dedicated engineer inside every practice that buys it. Two kinds of people make that plan work: engineers who can sit with a doctor and ship by Friday, and closers who can explain a BAA without flinching.
One requirement for both roles, and it is not negotiable: vast EHR or medical SaaS experience. If you have spent years inside Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, DrChrono, Practice Fusion, ModMed, Nextech, Tebra, a practice-management system, a billing platform, a scribe or a patient-messaging product, you will understand our customers on day one. If you have not, this is probably not the right fit yet.
How we work
- Small and funded. A founder, a CMO, a CTO, a CPO and the engineers who sit with practices. No layers.
- Remote in the US, Miami when it helps. Most of the team works remotely. We meet in Miami when a customer or a launch needs it.
- Doctors every week. Everyone talks to a practice weekly. Product decisions come from those calls, not from a roadmap deck.
- AI-native. We build with agents, ship daily, and expect you to use the AI employee yourself before you sell it or build on it.
- Read the manifesto first. If it does not make you a little angry at closed EHRs, skip the application.
